On Saturday night (24/4/21) Sunderland’s favourite heavyweight, all 120kg of him, Phil De Fries puts his KSW heavyweight title on the line. In Lodz, Poland he makes his fifth title defence. This is the second time these two have come together. Who can forget the first encounter!

Tomasz is the KSW light heavyweight champion. He challenged Phil the first time (23/3/19). On that night it was a one sided battle that the Sunderland man won via a unanimous decision. I don’t think he lost any one of the five rounds.

This is more than “A good big en, beats a good little en”! Phil is a world class big en! Add to that the fact that he has been training with Tom Aspinall, Paul Craig and Darren Till. Then the only outcome is a quicker result in Phil’s favour. He is predicting a round 2 stoppage. I see no reason to disagree with the big man.
