BFC4 Bout 16

BFC Featherweight Title Fight

Luke “The Pup” Richardson 5-3 The Dungeon, Thornaby vs Harry “Endgame” Edwards 4-2 Asylum Vale Tudo, Leeds. Both athletes of the game neither having been finished. Durable guys only having been beaten by the judges.

Round 1

Tall and lean with sharp striking Luke sets a good pace.

Edwards all ways replied in what started as a even striking match.

With a minute to go Richardson caught a kick and was able to take top guard.

From there he passed to side control, but Harry was able to turn and escape to back to his feet.

The pup was elusive in defence and stinging in attack.

He was just gaining the advantage in the stand up element as horn sounded.

Round 2

Luke started from where he left. Sharp striking and snatching a single leg.

Harry defended and then fell to his back, chasing a triangle.

Unable to secure that position he expertly transitioned from the failed triangle to an arm bar. This position he was able to secure. The slight disadvantages Endgame had in the striking phase were advantageous in the grappling phase.

He is a little shorter and a little stockier and so strong. Once had had the arm, Luke was powerless to stop the submission.

Harry wins by submission (arm bar) in 1 minute and 34 seconds of the second round.

Mr Edwards becomes our first Featherweight Champion.

Harry “Endgame” Edward will be back to make the first defence of his title at BFC5 Saturday 13th April 2024.
