BFC4 Bout 2 is a 95kg Light Heavyweight Amateur MMA bout.

A touch of gloves and we’re off. Joe opens with a teep kick, then lands a question mark kick and into punching range.

Ste, under pressure found a body lock and muscled Joe to the canvas.

Leonard established half guard and dropped leather.

There was a scramble and Joe got back to his feet, but fighting a standing guillotine choke. Ste dropped down to finish the submission. Joe did escape by rolling, but gave up the mount.

Taking punishment Joe pushed off the cage and rolled again this time to top guard.

Ste, closed the guard and pulled Joe’s head close and avoided anything significant. He kept that position until the horn. Joe helped Ste back to his feet, much respect gained.

Round 2

Another touch of gloves, Joe found a home for the low leg kick.

Leonard countered, pushing Toone to the cage and some clinch work. Eventually forcing Joe to the floor and finding mount. With his legs crossed and rising up to land blows Joe was under pressure again. Toone was able to turn, find the fence with his feet, bridge and roll over to top guard. So Joe finished strong, but Leonard was able to wrap up his foe until the horn.

They were smiling, but it was a struggle for both men to rise from the ground.

Round 3

Toone, the younger man, lead the dance.

Low kick, low kick feint to right hand. Good stuff. Both noticeably fatigued, Joe maintaining the distance and threw single strikes,

including a superman punch. He finished landing another question mark head kick. The horn brought the fight to an end.

The two combatants embraced. It was a hard fought close encounter. Joe won round three, but Ste did enough in rounds one and two. Leonard took a unanimous points win.
